Time Warner Cable and History™ Sponsor "Take A Veteran To School Day"

Biddeford, Rockland and York students to hear
Veterans’ stories and thank them for their service

Time Warner Cable has joined the Maine National Guard in sponsoring HISTORY™ channel’s national award-winning Take a Veteran to School Day (TAVTS) program with ceremonies at York Middle School on November 9th and Biddeford High School and Rockland Middle School on November 10th.  The events will provide Maine veterans an opportunity to educate students about their experiences and allow them to share personal stories about their service to our country.

Veteran's Day Celebration

On November 5, 2010, Marshwood Middle School will commemorate its’

tenth annual Veteran’s Day Celebration.  The school wide assembly, which starts

at 9:00 a.m., features various tributes from our students and faculty to our local

veterans.  Last year over 200 veterans attended the celebration.  Several veterans

are from local American Legion and VFW posts. Many veterans invited  are

relatives and friends  of Marshwood students who have served our country past

and present.

Local dignitaries including town officials and selectmen, local politicians,

state representatives, school board members, and members of the South

Berwick, Eliot, Kittery and Berwick police, fire and emergency departments also

attend the celebration to honor our veterans.

All guests form a reception line at 8:30 a.m.
