YORK COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOLDS COMMENCEMENT FOR CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS

Wells, Maine –   Graduation ceremonies were held recently for eight students of the York County Community College Certified Nursing Assistant Program.  The graduates are: (front l-r) Wendy Bucacci, Wells; Natalie Couture, Wells; Courtney Gwostz, Saco; Erika Martell, Sanford. (back l-r) Kim Parent, R.N.; Jennifer Phillips, Scarborough; Amy Richardson, Kennbunk; Lisa Ricker, Lyman; Rebecca Simpson, Biddeford and Denis Parent, R.N. 

Paulette Millette, Director of Continuing Education and Business Services offered the Welcome and Closing Remarks. Program instructors,  Denis & Kim Parent, both registered nurses with Southern Maine Medical Center, addressed the graduates and led them in the Florence Nightingale Candlelight Pledge.  A celebratory reception followed the ceremony.

York County Community College, established in 1994, is one of seven community colleges in the Maine Community College System.  The college enrolls over 1,600 students in associate degree and transfer programs and over 2,500 individuals in non-credit continuing education and professional development areas
