Man dies after Interstate 95 crash in Portsmouth, N.H. | News
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (NEWS CENTER) -- A Massachusetts man died Friday night after he was involved in a car crash on Interstate 95 in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire State Police said 63-year-old William Lasonde from Methuen, Mass. was driving north on I-95 in Portsmouth just before 10 p.m. Friday when his car left the road, struck a guardrail, and rolled over multiple times.
Lasonde was ejected from the vehicle, and was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash.
Police said the accident happened in the right median area separating I-95 north and the exit 5 off ramp. Part of the right travel lane was closed for nearly two hours Friday night as police were investigating the accident.
Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments assisted New Hampshire State Police at the scene.
