LEARN TO ICE FISH IN DOWNTOWN PORTLAND

Ice Fishing Demonstrations will take place this Thursday, February 2 and Friday, February 3 in Tommy's Park as a featured event for Portland On Ice, the new winter festival from Portland's Downtown District (PDD).  The Ice Fishing Demonstrations, sponsored by the Kittery Trading Post, run from 11 am to 4 pm both days, with multiple clinics offered by a representative of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW).  This event is free and open to the public. 

Ice Fishing Demonstration Schedule (2/2 and 2/3):

11:00am Kids Ice Fishing Clinic (MDIFW & Kittery Trading Post)

12:00pm Basic Ice Fishing Clinic (MDIFW & Kittery Trading Post)

1:00pm Women's only Ice Fishing Clinic (MDIFW's Emily MacCabe)

2:00pm Women's only Ice Fishing Clinic (MDIFW's Emily MacCabe )

3:00pm Basic Ice Fishing Clinic (Kittery Trading Post)

The demonstrations will cover rigging ice fishing tip-ups, hints on where to fish, and how to stay warm and be safe on ice.  Also, be sure to checkout the underwater viewing system  of the  live fish.
