DAY’S JEWELERS GOES UNDER THE SEA

DAY’S JEWELERS GOES UNDER THE SEA

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently announced that no evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found. Despite this report, Day’s Jewelers in Maine and New Hampshire have welcomed two Mermaids to their summer window displays. The Day’s Mermaids are 14 feet long and have graced the windows of their South Portland and Manchester, New Hampshire store fronts. The window theme was created by Day’s Jewelers Visual Coordinator Jason Brown. “When I visited the JCK jewelry tradeshow in Las Vegas in early June I saw gorgeous and entertaining window displays and thought, our windows would be perfect for a display like that.” Brown explained. When he returned from the show Brown began to design the concept and went to work building the props. Brown says that the whole display took him about a month to build and in the process he saw the Mermaids take on a life of their own.

5 Simple Things Nonprofits Didn't Know They Could Do With Social Media

This week I was fortunate to work with a great room of local nonprofits on the current state of social media and how nonprofits are utilizing these tools. At the end of the event, I heard from a few of the attendees on how surprised they were at some of the things they can do with social media, that they had never heard of before.
