Workshop with Randall Arendt: "Strengthening Town Centers and Transforming Commercial Corridor Strips." People who care about the future economic vitality and livability of their community will get great ideas from renowned conservation planner Randall Arendt. In this workshop, Arendt will focus on transforming commercial corridors and downtowns with multistory mixed-use buildings, affordable housing, efficient public transit, native landscaping, improved circulation patterns, stormwater infiltration, night-sky protection, solar features, and more. By using the strategies outlined in this workshop, communities can increase the viability of businesses, service providers, and public transit. $35 includes light dinner. Registration required.
