Bow-legged robber strikes York bank

YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police are looking for a bank robber with an unusual physical trait.

The robber struck the Savings Bank of Maine on Route 1 in York just after 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Witnesses described the robber as being bow-legged. He shielded his identity by pulling a hat over his face with holes cut out for his eyes.

Although he never showed a gun, police say he claimed to have one as he demanded cash from the tellers.

After getting the money, he left without hurting anyone.

Hugo (14-year old Asa Butterfield, who played Mordred in the British TV series “Merlin”) is an inventive orphan lad, leading a secret life amid the gigantic clockworks of a Paris train station in the 1930’s.  His late father (Jude Law) was a clockmaker who left young Hugo with a peculiar puzzle to solve:  a human-looking automaton, sitting poised with pen in hand, ready to write something but unable to function.

Welcome To Social Media Monday - Today's Topic "Online Security"

In today’s ever changing world it is difficult to keep up with all the social media and technology being offered to us.  Every Monday we will feature a tip, platform or idea that will make your online experience more pleasant.  Whether you are an individual user or a local business looking to reach more customers/clients there will be something here for you.

When preparing this first blog I wanted to focus on online safety and security.  Facebook recently was attacked by hackers and what was posted was less than pleasant.  Here are some tips to keep your account from being hijacked by hackers.

1 - Passwords -  Passwords should be changed frequently.  The best way to create a password is to make up a sentence that includes a capital, some numbers          and then a symbol or punctuation.
